Gà Nướng Sả

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
    • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 1 lemongrass stem, minced or food processed
    • 2 tbsp of fish sauce
    • 1 tbsp of sugar
    • 1 medium shallot, minced
    • 2 tbsp of neutral oil
    • 2 tsp of black pepper, freshly cracked is best

Steps

Chicken Marinade

  1. Chop/mince or food process garlic, lemongrass, shallot
  2. Place all the above into a bowl with sugar, fish sauce, black pepper, and oil and stir together
  3. Add in chicken and coat the chicken in the marinade
  4. Marinate for 30 minutes, or up to 6 hours

Cooking the chicken in an oven

  1. Bake the chicken in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 400 degrees.
  2. Use a thermometer for an internal temperature of 165 degrees OR stab into the chicken to see if the juices are clear

Cooking the chicken in an air fryer

  1. Bake the chicken in the air fryer for 16 minutes at 400 degrees.
  2. Use a thermometer for an internal temperature of 165 degrees OR stab into the chicken to see if the juices are clear
